Free from Losing Salvation
Do you wonder how it could be possible to live without sin if even our best is like filthy rags to the Lord? If even our thoughts are sinful? We can’t. We are doomed without Christ.

The stronghold of religiousness would have us believe that God is not forgiving, is not loving, and expects us to be [perfect] legalistic. That is [humanly] impossible.
So, who then can be saved? With man it is impossible. But with God all things are possible. God knows our heart, our trials, and even our thoughts. He knows if we willingly sin and rebelliously trampling his words under our feet or if we do our best [in gratitude] to remain faithful.
Jesus says to take his yoke on us. He gives us a glimpse of what it’s like to live a life of godliness. He says that his yoke is easy. That glimpse of an easy yoke is better explained in the greatest and new commandment that he gave us. His yoke is love.
If we are in Christ, we realized that we have sinned, and we accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ with thanksgiving and repentance. We follow the new commandment, and adhere to the greatest commandment. If we do these things and turn from sin [as much as is humanly possible] we cannot lose salvation.
Love covers a multitude of sin. The love Jesus had for us shed his blood to cover our sins. When we walk in love, first to the Father, then our neighbors, then each other, the fruit of the spirit is evident in our lives. In this case, there is no sin.
That’s how people will know us. Since there is no law against the fruits of the spirit there is no loss of salvation. If we walk in love and forgive freely, God [who does not have a corrupt body] will forgive us that much more.
5 Biblical tips for assurance of salvation:
1. Repent of any rebellion, unforgiveness, and willful sin.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Ephesians 5:4 4It’s not right that dirty stories, foolish talk, or obscene jokes should be mentioned among you either. Instead, give thanks to God.
2. Have faith that Jesus did sacrifice [himself] for [all] your sins.
2 Corinthians 11:3 3But [now] I am fearful, lest that even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, so your minds may be corrupted and seduced from wholehearted and sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
3. Resist demonic strongholds in your life and turn from sin.
James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
4. Take His yoke on you — love [forgive] even your enemies.
Matthew 6:15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
5. Move forward in faith, thankfulness, hope, and love, knowing that you are not condemned.
Romans 8:1 So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned.
2 Peter 1:4-10 Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.
5Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge; 6to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness; 7to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love. 8If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus Christ is living and productive. 9If these qualities aren’t present in your life, you’re shortsighted and have forgotten that you were cleansed from your past sins. 10Therefore, brothers and sisters, use more effort to make God’s calling and choosing of you secure.
If you keep doing this, you will never fall away.
