Free from the Stronghold of Fraud
We are inundated by a barrage of fraud today. It’s hard to open the mail, email, or answer an unknown caller without being aware of the duplicity that could accompany the message. This stronghold is creeping in from all areas of life.
Even fraudulent leaders use the word of God for their own gain. Giving into fraud can cost us our homes, our money, and even our lives.
We are made more increasingly aware of the stronghold of fraud through the internet. But fraud has always been around. In fact, Jesus warned us about it many times. But more importantly he warned the offender.
Matthew 23:13 “How horrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You rob widows by taking their houses and then say long prayers to make yourselves look good. You will receive a most severe punishment.”
God warned us about fraud from the beginning and what he thinks of it Proverbs 11:1. “Dishonest scales are disgusting to the Lord, but accurate weights are pleasing to him.” — Proverbs 20:10 “A double standard of weights and measures—both are disgusting to the Lord.”
So how do we keep fraud out of our lives and live a life worthy of God”s blessings?
Biblical tips to overcome fraud:
1. Always deal justly with others so God will deal justly with you.
James 5:4 1The wages you refused to pay the people who harvested your fields shout to God against you. The Lord of Armies has heard the cries of those who gather the crops.
2. Protect yourself from fraud. Here is a website that gives good tips for protection: Federal bureau of Investigation.
Proverbs 22:3 Sensible people foresee trouble and hide from it, but gullible people go ahead and suffer the consequence.
3. Associate with people who are honest.
Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with wise people will be wise, but whoever associates with fools will suffer.
4. Judge people fairly.
Leviticus 19:15 “Don’t be corrupt when administering justice. Never give special favors to poor people, and never show preference to important people. Judge your neighbor fairly.
5. Trust God to help you if all else fails.
Psalm 12:5 “Because oppressed people are robbed and needy people groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord. “I will provide safety for those who long for it.”

Glad you’re enjoying them. I’m trying not to bog people down. There’s already so much confusion in this world.
