Free from the Stronghold of Slander
Why? Slander is malicious and vicious. The stronghold of slander begins as a thought. But it can become a murderer. It wants an advantage and it doesn’t care who it steps on to get that advantage.
Slander is miserable, greedy, selfish and lonely at the same time. It needs a platform and a human host to survive. So it gossips. It kills political figures, famous figures, [usually after hard work and suffering], families, friendships, groups, and even nations. It can spread like a virus out of control.
This stronghold takes a tidbit of truth and twists it. The stronghold of slander is poison. It candy coats its message and solicits us into accepting it to move it forward. So how can we free ourselves from its grip?
Biblical tips to overcome slander:
1. Pay kindness forward. Not slander. Don’t allow slander, or the thought to slander, begin with you. Don’t carry on slander you received–No matter how tempting it is.
Leviticus 1916 16 “‘Do not go about spreading slander among your people. “‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the LORD.
Psalm 101:5 I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor. I will not tolerate anyone with a conceited look or arrogant heart.
2. Ask God for help if you were slandered.
Job 5:15 “But he saves other people from their slander and the needy from the power of the mighty.
3. Know that God is with those who don’t slander. Rest in Him.
Psalm 15:1-3 O Lord, who may stay in your tent? Who may live on your holy mountain. 2The one who walks with integrity, does what is righteous, and speaks the truth within his heart. 3The one who does not slander with his tongue, do evil to a friend, or bring disgrace on his neighbor.
4. Expect God to bring you through.
Isaiah 54:17 17But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
5. Choose your friends wisely. Anyone can claim to be good, or a Christian, but if their actions don’t reflect who they claim to be, keep them at a distance.
1 Corinthians 5:11 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[a] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
6. Turn to Christ, repent, and ask God to change you if you have been participating in slander.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

The other day, while I was at work, my cousin stole my ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
